Dr. Alma CoxFinished in four years, three months
My name is Alma Cox. I started my dissertation by attempting to write Chapter 2. I believed I had used the rubric correctly and had done a good job until my chair and content expert sent back their feedback 10 days later. Every paragraph was filled with discouraging comments, with my CE asking whether I knew how to write. I cried and prayed for an answer: Do I go on or get out?
I found the Doctoral Facebook page and followed a few people. I sent an SOS telling the group, “I was throwing in the towel.” Immediately, Dr. Keating reached out. I sent her my paper with all the embarrassing remarks (in bubbles), and she set up a Zoom. She was so helpful and encouraging; at the time, she was pregnant with her baby girl. She is dedicated to helping the students. There is nobody else like her. She cares!
During our first Zoom meeting, she told me she would not write my paper but would work with me to help me understand the rubric and the rationale for my committee’s recommendations. I was told of the other tools available, such as Grammarly and Recite Works, to name a few. I was diagnosed with kidney cancer, and I was so grateful to have her as my mentor; I included her in my dissertation acknowledgements.
My experience with Dr. Keating was what I needed: she was supportive, helpful, and she became so valuable throughout my journey that I finally reached my goal in 4 years and 3 months, and you can too. If you are feeling like “throwing in the towel” or that you’ll never get there, I’m here to tell you that you will reach your goal with Dr. Keating cheering you on all the way.

Before working with Dr. Keating, I was stuck. I was trying to get my dissertation to where it needed to be, and I was stressed about the timeline. A cohort member passed along her information, and I remember being nervous and hesitant to reach out, mostly because I was worried about the cost on top of everything else I was already paying as a doctoral student.
I decided to take a leap of faith anyway, and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made in this process. The moment I saw what her services offered, it felt like a weight lifted. I could finally breathe again.
Working with Dr. Keating was steady and genuine from start to finish. She was direct about what she could offer, patient through the process, and gave real, one-on-one guidance rather than generic feedback. Knowing I had someone who understood what I was going through and was truly there to support me is what kept me steadfast when I wanted to give up.
Her accountability made the biggest difference. She reminded me of what mattered when I’d lost sight of it. Because of that support, I reached my goal. I’m now defending my dissertation and on track to graduate this fall.
If you’re hesitant to reach out to Dr. Keating, especially because of the cost, don’t let that stop you. She is reliable, dependable, and genuinely invested in your success, not just in the transaction. Set a realistic goal, trust the process, and you will make it to graduation.

This is my grateful testimony to Dr. Keating. I was blessed to be referred to her by my chair and other learners in the GCU Facebook group. My goodness, what can I say. My dissertation was returned from Level 7 (Form and Formatting) with many changes. At this stage, I was exhausted and feeling defeated. I told my chair I did not have the brain bandwidth to address all the formatting and Reciteworks report.
I contacted Dr. Keating and received an immediate response from her. She referred me to her website, I paid her reasonable editing fee for a 7-day turn around, and went to sleep with a peace of mind. This was one of the easiest processes I have paid for. My dissertation looked beautiful and passed Level 7 after Dr. Keating worked her magic. This was money well spent.
Learners, if you are thinking about retaining an editor, Dr. Keating is your person. I highly recommend her. Her work is efficient and she is professional. Dr. Keating will get you to graduation. I’m a witness and forever grateful.

In the beginning, I struggled with the whole dissertation process, especially making revisions and understanding how to address feedback. I wanted to move forward and feel prepared for my defense, but I needed guidance from someone who understood the process and could help me understand my next steps.
Dr. Keating understands that everyone has a different learning style. Her patience and willingness to support my learning needs and explain things in a way I could understand meant a lot to me. Dr. Keating was supportive, patient, and encouraging. I felt comfortable asking questions and sharing my struggles.
Having feedback explained in a way I could understand was especially helpful because it allowed me to focus on the changes I needed. I would recommend DK Education Consulting to anyone needing guidance through the dissertation process. Her support and encouragement made a difference for me.

I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Keating’s support throughout the final stages of my dissertation. Her editing expertise, knowledge, and attention to detail were monumental in helping me submit my dissertation on time.
Dr. Keating was always helpful, responsive, and willing to provide clarification whenever I needed it. Her quick turnaround and guidance made what could have been an overwhelming process much more manageable. Her support truly made a difference in helping me reach the finish line, and I highly recommend her to any doctoral student navigating the dissertation process.
Thank you, Dr. Keating, for being such an important part of my doctoral journey!

When I began working with Dr. Keating, I was determined to finish my doctoral journey, but the revisions and uncertainty often felt overwhelming. Dr. Keating provided the clarity, encouragement, and guidance I needed to keep moving forward. She took the time to understand my research, explain her recommendations, and help me strengthen both my dissertation and my confidence as a scholar and researcher.
As I prepare for my dissertation defense, I am incredibly grateful for how far I have come through faith, perseverance, and the right support. Dr. Keating was an important part of that journey. If you are considering DK Education Consulting, know that you still have to do the work, but you do not have to navigate the journey alone. Having someone knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in your success can make all the difference.
Dr. David McKemyFinished 2023
Hi, I was a doctoral student at GCU who finished in 2023. I struggled with the methods section and had to request an extension. I honestly thought they would finally kick me out of the program. Dr. Keating rescued me and got me to the finish line, and I am so grateful to her.
In the middle of finishing the dissertation, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer and spent a month in the hospital in Houston at MD Anderson. She was not only supportive with my dissertation, but she was supportive in prayer and in getting through the cancer treatment. God got me through the cancer journey, and God used Dr. Keating to get me through the dissertation.
I was discharged from MD Anderson in late November, and I defended my dissertation propped on pillows on December 6, 2023. The Dean signed the manuscript on December 13, 2023. It’s hard not to get emotional when I talk about this.
I will be forever grateful to God for seeing me through both the dissertation and cancer. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Keating for walking me through the stormy waters of my dissertation. Her support made the difference I needed.
